Our Arrows Remix Compilation (ARC) now has a pre-order at Mylene Sheath

It took 2 years of begging, beer-buying, handshakes and emails, but we finally completed our Arrows remix project. Mylene Sheath did it up right and made 2 different color pressings (yellow and black) and made it a limited edition item for the catalog.

We were fortunate enough to get some of our label-mates and soul-brothers to contribute, like Phil from Caspian, Steve from Beware of Safety, Will from Constants and Mizra and Max from Arms&Sleepers.

We'd like to extend a warm "Thank you" to everyone who took the time to smash, crunch, blender and render our music into something completely new and exciting. We're proud to call you our friends and we're excited to get people listening.

Hum books a show in Kansas City for the fall

On top of the news that the new Hum Tribute album "Songs of Farewell & Departure" will be released nationally on Sept. 6th, we've learned that the space rock kings are now booked for an appearance in our hometown Kansas City on November 4th at our favorite local venue The Record Bar. Due to very limited seating (230) this show will sell out very fast, so keep your eyes on the prize and get your tickets through their site as swiftly as possible once they go on sale. As of this time, there is no sale date, but believe us, it will be soon.

Mylene Sheath July Newsletter - A&A vinyl heartache continues

Not really sure how to read into this mess, but the factory in charge of duplicating our vinyl for the "We Love Our Enemy" re-issue continues to fail us.

We know that they will arrive sometime before our NEXT offering on Mylene Sheath, a limited vinyl & extended digital release remix project for Arrows.
It's titled ARC and it will feature several brothers from the Mylene family and some up-and-coming artists from around the country. More on that later...

Aside from our vinyl woes, everything else seems to be going fantastic for Mylene and all the bands involved. Beware of Safety is collecting massive amounts of money and favorable reviews for their newest "Leaves/Scars."

Beneath Oblivion is about to unleash an 80 minute behemoth of doom metal on your pasty white ass and Joel & Lindsay have decided that it's time to clear out the shelves with a huge sale for the summer months.

Quick Note - the Hum Tribute Album Has a Solid Release Date

Dan Goldin just blogged it over at Exploding In Sound, the Hum tribute album known as Songs of Farewell & Departure will be released on Sept. 6th on Pop Up Records. No word on whether they'll put it on vinyl, but they're definitely doing CD and all major digi networks like iTunes and Amazon.
Actors&Actresses contributed the song "Aphids" and it will be track 9. Two of our Mylene Sheath brothers contributed also - Junius and Constants.

Pre-order begins on July 11th at Pop Up Records.

In other news, our Californian brothers Beware Of Safety have put out their new full-length called Leaves/Scars, which has a release date scheduled for July 12th. The preorder form goes active on June 17th, so try not to snooze on it. Beware Of Safety just finished collaborating with Actors&Actresses for a project we think you'll be excited to hear. More on that later...

We've been a little hush-hush about this for a while, but Actors&Actresses were selected by Pop Up Records to appear on their HUM tribute album, slated for release this July.

What's even better is, we're saddled alongside some Mylene Sheath label mates and a whole mess of heavy hitters. This album is going to SLAY.

Alter The Press! Reviews "We Love Our Enemy"

Our new-found friends at Alter The Press! have some nice things to say about our original (?) EP from 2005, We Love Our Enemy.

We don't know if it's because Mylene Sheath hooked them up with a new custom pressing of the vinyl, but anything's possible.

Getting excited for next week and the official "pre-order ship day" for the EP. If you want a copy early, then you need to hit the Mylene Sheath website and fill out the pre-order form. Otherwise, you won't get this pink n' purple slab of psychedelia until June 14th. Thanks to everyone that's ordered a copy. We know you'll love how it looks and sounds!

We Love Our Enemy Pre-Order Is a Go!

Got a nice surprise today from Mylene Sheath, as they announced the pre-order for our original 4 song EP "We Love Our Enemy" is now up and running.

The EP will be a run of 500: 100 purple, 100 pink and 300 clear vinyl. If you want to get a listen to the entire album in high-quality sound, head over to bandcamp.

WLOEnemy will be hitting shelves earlier than we anticipated, sometime in early May. Thanks for listening!

Mylene Sheath April Newsletter; A&A pre-order news

So the date is finally set when you can get your mitts on the brand new vinyl version of our first EP, We Love Our Enemy.

It's this Friday, April 15th sometime in the early morning hours. It'll be available just inside the front door of the Mylene Sheath site.

Mylene Sheath just announced it in their April newsletter, and we couldn't be happier. This has been in talks since before Arrows had sold its first 100 copies, and it's finally happened.

Other notable items in the Mylene newsletter this month, Eksi Ekso's wondrous new album Brown Shark Red Lion is almost out the door, Mylene's intern Casey IS out the door headed for
Europe, and apparently Joel is able to fake doing housework in a
convincing way.

Promotional Artwork for "We Love Our Enemy" Vinyl Re-issue

These files just one microsecond ago hit our inbox and made us go all googley-eyed. Even though the pre-order for custom Mylene Sheath vinyl doesn't happen for another ehh...10 weeks, we really wanted to let everyone have a look at the promo stuff.

The artwork was created by Detroit-based veteran David Medel, who has also been spotted designing some tour merch for stoner-gods Fu Manchu.

They will be available by request through this website in 14x22.5 size, and can also be purchased at all of our 2011 shows supporting the re-issue of We Love Our Enemy.

Or if you like, you can download a slightly smaller copy and print one yourself.

New Exploding In Sound Compilation feat. Mylene Brothers Lavinia

We got to put our mark on a previous Exploding In Sound compilation called In Case of Evacuation. This month our Mylene Sheath brothers Lavinia get their turn on Battery Acid Audio.

This release also has some great tunes by other favorites like ...Trail of the Dead, Hawkeyes, J Mascis and Mini Mansions. It's a HUGE download, so if you just want to listen to a high-quality streaming version, that's right here.

And believe us when we say that this is not going to be the last you'll hear of Mylene Sheath bands getting material on high-visibility compilations. We'll be announcing some great news about that nugget in a few weeks. We think you'll be very happy about it.

We Love Our Enemy now streaming in full at bandcamp

Since Mylene Sheath Records decided to re-issue our original EP from 2005 We Love Our Enemy, they also made sure everyone had a chance to hear it first. Good idea, since the original run was only 300 CDs.

This time there's plenty to go around, with all digi networks currently selling it, and 300 more CDs being printed, and hundreds of high-quality vinyl on 45 rpm 12" translucent pink platters.

The Mylene Sheath just officially announced today that they're re-issuing our EP "We Love Our Enemy." It was engineered at Great Western Record Recorders by Paul Malinowski.

The artwork was done by our bud Nate Shumaker at Northern Lights Industries.

It is available right now on iTunes, and will be available in high-quality vinyl and CD formats in a few more weeks. Scope the new artwork!
